La Cultura | Enero: Cilia Flores (abogada y política)

This January, the Spanish Honor Society has chosen Cilia Flores as our Person of the Month. She was born in Tinaquillo, Cojedes, (Venezuela) October 15, 1953. She is married to Nicolás Maduro, the current president of Venezuela. Flores is a deputy in the National Assembly of Venezuela. She replaced Maduro as President of the National Assembly in the year 2006. She is the first woman to serve in this position.
